For
creating various types of light animation: lightning, flickering
lights, intermittent faults, fluorescent lights turning on.

Spookylights animates the multiplier value of lights to create
animation. With a little
thought, this can create numerous effects that would be really tedious to create
manually. Here's some examples: Lightning, flickering candle,
police car lights,
intermittent faults, fluorescent tube turning on, strobe lights, landing strip
patterns, that thing where a sign has synchronised flashing
lights around it,
those freaky flashing lights in alien and many others.

This image shows the trackview of a fluorescent
tube turning on.

The offset controls allow to make complex multi-light
animations. For producing runway lights that come on alternately,
you would make all the lights strobe or pulse and then change the
offset of the lights to make a pattern.

Pulse generates smooth sine wave control of the
lights brightness. This can be used for police lights, lighthouse,
and other effects

Broken light will produce many random light events.
This can make everything from lightning to an intermittent fault.

Strobing is quickly turning the light on and off.
You can control the on and off times.
